US Special Envoy Gor congratulates Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: Sergio Gor, the United States Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs, has congratulated Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane on the party’s election victory.

According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, Gor telephoned Lamichhane on Tuesday to extend congratulations to the RSP on its election victory.

During the conversation, he said the United States looks forward to working with the new government in Nepal to strengthen economic partnership and deepen bilateral ties between the two countries.

The RSP won 182 seats in the 275-member House of Representatives in the elections held on March 5. The party is preparing to form a new government under the leadership of its Senior Leader, Balendra Shah.
