KATHMANDU: US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
During the farewell meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Monday, the two discussed the long-standing bilateral relations between Nepal and the United States, as well as matters of mutual interest and concern.
Prime Minister Karki expressed her appreciation for the role played by Ambassador Thompson in strengthening Nepal–US relations during his tenure.
On the occasion, Ambassador Thompson expressed confidence that relations between the two countries would deepen further in the days ahead and that the United States would continue its assistance to Nepal.
