KATHMANDU: Baitadi District Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Mahadev Bhattarai and a few other leaders have left the party to join CPN-UML.
Other Unified Socialist leaders who have joined UML include Central Committee member and Darchula District in-charge, Narendra Bista; Baitadi Hospital Development Committee Chairman Parbati Bhattai; District leader Chaman Kumar Bhandari; and Sudurpashchim Province in-charge of Socialist Press Organization, Narendra Bhatta.
Likewise, NC leaders like Saraswati Koli and Ramesh Koli have also joined UML. NC had taken disciplinary action against these two leaders for not supporting the party’s official candidates in the 2022 elections.
UML leaders welcomed Unified Socialist and NC leaders to the party during a special ceremony organized to kickstart its ‘Jhulaghat-Chiwa Bhanjyang Walk’.
