KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) has decided to support Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s government.
The party, however, won’t join the government immediately. Party spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada said his party has decided to give its confidence vote to Dahal while staying in the opposition.
Unified Socialist has 10 seats in parliament.
Dahal is taking a vote of confidence in parliament on Tuesday as per Article 76(4) of the Constitution of Nepal. He was appointed Prime Minister by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on December 25. He needs 138 votes to pass the floor test.
