KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed confidence that the upcoming visit of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to Nepal will enhance Nepal’s image on the global stage.
During a conversation with reporters at a tea reception hosted by the Nepali Congress in Lalitpur on Saturday, Dahal expressed his hope that the visit would offer significant support in addressing the needs of the Nepali people. Dahal further said Guterres would address topics like climate change, the peace process, and Nepal’s economic development goals during his visit.
The CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman also revealed that the Emir of Qatar is scheduled to visit Nepal following the UN Secretary General’s visit. “As a result of the diplomatic initiatives I undertook during my visits to India, the US, and China, the Secretary General of the United Nations and the Emir of Qatar are both visiting Nepal.”
