KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress (NC) will join hands to form a government if neither secures a majority in the 2027 election.
Addressing the annual review meeting of the Land Problem Resolution Commission in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Oli said UML has no interest in cobbling together a new government with fringe parties.
Oli reiterated that the current ruling alliance will remain intact until the 2027 elections. He ruled out any changes in the alliance before the polls as there were no issues between the two coalition partners.
“While the Prime Minister will change in the coming months, it would not affect the coalition,” Oli said.
