KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has decided to support the motion of vote of confidence tabled by Madhesh Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh.
According to the Madhesh Province Assembly Secretariat, Chief Minister Singh will seek a vote of confidence in the province assembly at 11 am on Saturday.
UML’s Chief Whip in the provincial assembly, Hari Narayan Mahato, said the party has decided to support Chief Minister Mahato’s motion of vote of confidence.
Province assembly members of CPN-UML, CPN (Maoist Center), Nepal Sanghiya Samajbadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti pare are in the Janamat Party leader’s government.
Singh was appointed Chief Minister of Madhesh Province on June 7. He needs to secure a vote of confidence from the province assembly within 30 days of his appointment.
