UML to join govt under Bishnu Poudel’s leadership

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has decided to join CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s government under the leadership of party Vice Chairman Bishnu Poudel.

“UML will join the government under Bishnu Poudel’s representative. Our four leaders will be in Dahal’s cabinet,” a source at the UML told Himal Press. “Rajendra Kumar Rai (Dhankuta), Jwala Sah (Bara) and Damodar Bhandari (Baitadi) will join the government. THe names are yet to be formally announced though.”

UML forged a seven-party coalition to form the government under Dahal’s leadership on Sunday. Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janta Samajbadi Party, Janamat Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party are also in the coalition.
