UML to give trust vote to Sodari; won’t join government

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has decided to support the motion of vote of confidence tabled by Sudurpaschim Chief Minister Drigha Sodari.

A meeting of the UML’s parliamentary party held on Wednesday took this decision.

The UML, however, has said that it wouldn’t join the government led by the CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Sodari.

Chief Minister Sodari is scheduled to take a vote of confidence in the Sudurpaschim Province Assembly on Thursday.

The UML’s Sudurpaschim leaders said the parliamentary party’s decision is in line with the instructions given by the party’s central leadership.

Earlier, the UML had said that “it won’t take a decision in haste”.
