UML leaders request Unified Socialist to vote for Nembang

KATHMANDU: Second-tier leaders of the CPN-UML met with CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal on Thursday to seek support for their presidential candidate, Subash Chandra Nembang.

The UML delegation, including Vice Chairman Bishnu Prasad Poudel, presidential candidate Nembang, and under-secretary Prithvi Subba Gurung, visited the Unified Socialist’s party office in Aloknagar to meet with Nepal, Vice Chairman Pramesh Hamal, General Secretary Beduram Bhusal, Deputy General Secretary Prakash Jwala, and Secretariat Committee Member Ram Chandra Jha.

During the meeting, the UML leaders requested the Unified Socialist leaders to vote for Nembang in the presidential election. The UML leaders have scheduled meetings with various political parties to seek their votes for Nembang, including the Rastriya Swatantra Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party later on Thursday.

The presidential election is scheduled for March 9, and Nembang is competing against Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel, who is the common candidate of the eight-party ruling coalition.
