KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Dr Bhim Rawal has hinted that he was on the verge of quitting the party.
Talking to the media in Kathmandu on Thursday, Rawal said he has reached a turning point in his political career. He said he has reached a difficult part of his political career due to politics of prohibition in the party.
“The way they treated me during the Godavari convention, I felt that I have been pushed to a new phase of political life,” he said.
Rawal said that would soon make public his decision about the path he would take next.
The firebrand leader added that he has been prohibited from the party activities just because he contested against UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli in the party’s 10th General Convention held in Chitwan.
“I was not allowed to participate in the district convention of Achham where I belong. They have now barred me from participating in the Godavari convention,” he added. “I was eager to participate in the Godavari convention. But they didn’t prepare my identification card.”
