Two province chiefs of RSP call for Mukul Dhakal’s reinstatement

KATHMANDU: Two province heads of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have demanded the reinstatement of Mukul Dhakal to his position.

Dhakal, who previously served as the party’s General Secretary and Spokesperson, was relieved of his duties on August 27.

In a letter addressed to the party’s acting president, RSP’s Koshi Province President Rajesh Timilsina and Madhesh Province President Tapeshwar Yadav called the need for unity during the ongoing crisis. “The future of RSP is not just about the party itself but also about the hope of Nepali citizens and the future of alternative politics,” Timilsina said in his letter.

Both leaders also announced the withdrawal of their signatures supporting Dhakal’s dismissal. “Some course corrections are necessary. I hereby withdraw my signature and consent from the previous decision,” Timsina said in the letter.
