KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has transferred has given new responsibility to its two Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs).

According to the Nepal Police headquarters, DIG Poshraj Pokharel, who had also been serving as the spokesperson for the Nepal Police, has been transferred to Valley Traffic Police Office.

The post of chief of Valley Traffic Police Office had been lying vacant with the promotion of DIG Mira Chaudhary to Additional Inspector General (AIG).

Similarly, DIG Ramdutta Joshi has been given a new responsibility at the Special Bureau. The bureau’s top post was lying vacant with the promotion of DIG Sudip Giri to Additional Inspector General (AIG).

Joshi was previously with Research, Planning, and Development Directorate.
