Two die of suffocation in Bhaktapur

KATHMANDU: Two persons died while digging a well in Bhaktapur on Wednesday.

According to the District Police Range, Bhaktapur, Sandesh Sunuwar (28) and his uncle Deepak (46) of Priti in Umakunda Rural Municipality-4 of Ramechhap died due to suffocation after they reached 55 feet deep in the well.

“The two were lying unconscious inside the well when the rescue workers reached the incident site. Although they were rushed to hospital, they were pronounced dead on arrival by the doctors,” police say.
