Two dead as excavator veers off the road in Humla

KATHMANDU: Two individuals lost their lives in an excavator accident in Humla district on Sunday evening.

According to the District Police Office, Humla, the deceased have been identified as Parbal Kami (45) and Arjun Kami (31), the excavator operator. Both were from Chankheli Rural Municipality-2. The accident occurred when the excavator plunged approximately 100 meters off the road.

Police say the excavator suddenly started and veered off the road while the operator was attempting to start the malfunctioning machine.

Both victims succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at Shreemastha Basic Health Post.
