KATHMANDU: Two individuals died and 14 others were injured in a road accident in Baglung district on Friday.
According to the District Police Office, Baglung, a jeep heading to Chaur in Dhorpatan Municipality-5 from Burtibang fell some 60 meters off the road at Astu in Dhorpatan-5 on Friday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Nara Bahadur Karki (70) and Bhim Kumari Budha (75) of Dhorpatan-2.
Jeep driver Govinda Thapa (27) and passengers Lumbini Mahat (18), Indra Kunwar (23), Nirmaya Khari (29), Devi Pariyar (38), Durgi Darji (53), Anju Pariyar (12), Biyano Budha Magar (8), Mana Kumari Thapa (75) and Tika Kumari Kunwar (21) from Dhorpatan-2; Dalli BK from Dhorpatan-5; Shishir Karki from Dhorpatan-1 and Tan Maya Kunwar from Dhorpatan-5 were injured in the accident.
All the injured are receiving treatment at the provincial hospital in Burtibang.
