KATHMANDU: Five more bodies believed to be of passengers on board two buses that were swept into the Trishuli River by landslide debris on Friday morning have been recovered.
According to DSP Shailendra Thapa, joint spokesperson for the Armed Police Force (APF), four bodies were recovered near the Balmiki canal on the Indian side of the border. “A team from the border outpost in Triveni has reached the site for necessary coordination,” APF said in a statement.
Additionally, one body has been found on the banks of the Narayani River in Susta-4 of Nawalparasi West. “A seven-member team from the Balinagar outpost has been deployed to the site,” the statement added.
