Constitutional Council Meeting held on Sunday morning.
KATHMANDU: Toyam Raya has been recommended for the position of Auditor General.
A meeting of the Constitutional Council held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Sunday morning picked Raya for the position.
As per the Constitution of Nepal, 2015, President Ram Chandra Poudel will now appoint Raya to the position.
The former finance secretary, Raya, is serving as the Chief Statistics Officer at the National Statistics Office.
The position has been lying vacant since Tanka Mani Sharma completed his term in April last year.
