KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), which had shut down since Tuesday noon, has resumed operations from Wednesday afternoon.
According to the TIA Civil Aviation Office (CAO), the decision to resume operations was made at a meeting of the TIA Security Committee held on Wednesday.
Earlier, the TIA CAO had announced an indefinite closure of the airport, citing an adverse security situation. It had also advised passengers to contact their respective airlines for updates.
“Passengers traveling through the airport are requested to contact their respective airlines to confirm flight schedules before coming to the airport. We also request travelers to carry official air tickets and valid identification documents,” the TIA CAO said in the statement.
