The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has announced that three players from Nepal’s U-19 national cricket team will undergo training in India under the newly launched “Ambassador’s Cricket Fellowship for Nepali Youth”.
Naren Bhatta, Sahil Patel and Pooja Mahato have been selected for the fellowship. They will receive professional training at the LB Shastri Cricket Stadium in Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh.
The one-month training program will run from July 15 to August 14.
During an interaction with the players, Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, said the initiative aims not only to expose young Nepali cricketers to a professional environment but also to further strengthen people-to-people ties between India and Nepal through cricket.
According to the embassy, the program will contribute to the overall development of cricket in Nepal and support Nepal’s long-term cricketing ambitions by enhancing the skills of players.
