Three of a family found dead in Gokarneshwar

KATHMANDU: Three members of a family have been found dead in Kathmandu.

The bodies were discovered at a house in Gamcha of Gokarneswor Municipality-3.

The deceased have been identified as Sita Moktan (33), her daughter Anshu and two-month-old son.

According to Murari Prasad Kuikel, the ward chairperson, the bodies were found in a room with the door locked from the inside. The police are investigating the incident, he added.

Police have taken Sita’s husband, Kanchha, into custody for questioning.

Since the bodies were in a descomposed state, police suspect the incident may have occurred a few days ago.

Nagarkoti has told police that he was out of the house when the incident took place.
