Three-member team formed to probe Balkumari incident

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed a three-member team to probe the Balkumari incident.

The team, led by DIG Lalmani Acharya of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, includes Lalitpur’s Deputy Chief District Officer Amardeep Suniwar and Deputy Investigative Director of the National Investigation Department Basu Sigdel as members.

Examinees who failed the shipbuilding skill test were protesting at the office of the EPS Division on Friday. The protesters torched the car of Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Development Prakash Jwala. Two youths died when protesters clashed with the police.
