Three dead, two injured as two bikes collide in Sunsari

ITAHARI: Three people were killed and two others seriously injured in a motorcycle collision in Sunsari district on Saturday evening.

According to the District Police Office, Susnari, the accident occurred at around 7:20 pm on the Chatara–Kanchichowk road section in Ramdhuni Municipality–7 when a motorcycle (Ko 33 Pa 9605) heading from Kanchichowk to Kalabanjar collided head-on with another motorcycle (Pra 1-02-056 Pa 5864) coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased have been identified as Inarchan Chaudhary (34) of Ramdhuni–6, his 9-year-old son Pranish Chaudhary and Bindhu Yadav (54) of Inaruwa–6, who was riding the second motorcycle. Inarchan and his son passed away while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan at around 9:20 pm.

Iarchan’s wife Pratiksha (32), who was also riding pillion, is in critical condition. Ramesh Chaudhary (36), who was riding with Bindhu Yadav, sustained serious injuries.
