KATHMANDU: Three persons lost their lives in a road accident in Bagmati Municipality of Sarlahi on Thursday morning.
According to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, Hari Bahadur Chaudhary, Dasharath Kohar, and Ram Karan Kewat, all from Rupandehi, died when a passenger bus collided with a parked truck at Rupandehi Chowk on the East-West Highway.
Seventeen others were injured in the accident. Those with severe injuries are currently receiving medical treatment in Janakpur and Birgunj.
The bus heading to Janakpur from Rupandehi was carrying 40 passengers, according to police.
