KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three individuals with Rs 9.2 million in unexplained cash.
A team from the Metropolitan Crime Division of Nepal Police arrested Jit Bahadur Tamang from Rasuwa, Santosh Khati from Sankhuwasabha and Rabin Dhamala from Sindhupalchok from Jorpati, Kathmandu, on Tuesday night.
SP Kaji Prasad Acharya, the spokesperson for the Metropolitan Crime Division, said investigations were underway to determine the source of the money.
Preliminary investigations have shown the three are involved in gold trading, police sources say.
