
KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three men in Pokhara on the charge of raping a woman.
According to the District Police Office, Kaski, a team deployed by the Ward Police Office, Ram Bazaar, arrested Chandra Bahadur Thapa (36) of Madi-9, and Krishna Ranabhat (38) and Binod Pariyar (29) of Madi-12 at 4 am on May 7.
“They have been accused of luring a woman from Amarsingh Chowk in Pokhara-10 into a bus parked at a football ground in Amarsingh Chowk, offering her beer and raping her,” the police said.
DSP Basanta Kumar Sharma of the District Police Office, Kaski, said they will charge-sheet the three for the gang rape of the woman.
Meanwhile, police have secured a seven-day remand for the three from the Kaski District Court.
