KATHMANDU: The government has taken a policy of making structural reforms in the economy by implementing the constitution and federal system.
Presenting the policies and programs of the government for the fiscal year 2023/24 on Friday, President Ram Chandra Poudel said the government will maintain austerity in public expenditure while prioritizing capital expenditure.
Development of quality infrastructure, improvement in governance and service delivery, corruption control, increasing production and employment, development of green economy, environmental balance, and ending socio-economic discriminations are the main priorities of the policies and programs.
“Poverty alleviation, inclusive development, the local conclusion of the peace process, protection of national interest, and independent and balanced freign policy are the policy priorities of the government,” President Poudel added.
