KATHMANDU: The term of the Parliamentary Investigation Special Committee on the misuse of savings by cooperative institutions has been extended by 15 days.
In the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, committee chair Surya Thapa tabled a proposal to extend the committee’s term.
The extension was approved unanimously by the House.
While tabling the proposal, Thapa briefed lawmakers about the work done by the committee so far. He informed that the committee has questioned 50 individuals allegedly involved in the misappropriation of cooperative savings.
