KATHMANDU: Team Ventures, a leading private equity and venture capital firm, has acquired a 27% eqity stake in Hotel Garima Ltd, which has been branded as Soaltee Westend Itahari.
The five-star property with 82 rooms is managed by The Soaltee Hotels & Resorts.
“The investment is expected to support the company’s next phase of growth by advancing expansion, strengthening governance, and enhancing institutional capabilities,” Kesang Shrestha, Chairperson of Team Ventures, said.
Similarly, Dorje Gyaltsen Lama, director of Team Ventures, said thy had been exploring opportunities in the hospitality sector, given its importance to Nepal’s tourism ecosystem and the broader economy. “Soaltee Westend Itahari combines a strong brand, an experienced operator, and clear growth potential, and we look forward to supporting the company as it continues to scale and strengthen its institutional foundation.”
Binod Poudel, Managing Director of Soaltee Westend Itahari, said the partnership brings institutional capital and experience that will support the company’s expansion initiatives and continued growth.
Hotel Garima Ltd is also advancing its plan to launch an IPO to raise Rs 400 million. It has appointed Laxmi Sunrise Capital Ltd as issue manager for the IPO.
