KATHMANDU: Two individuals died, and 34 others were injured in a passenger bus accident at Ghansikuwa in Byas Municipality-12 of Tanahun district on Wednesday morning.
According to the District Police Office, Tanahun, the bus heading to Pokhara from Dharan lost control and veered off the road. The deceased have been identified as Hastra Rai (45) of Sagurigadhi-9 of Dhankuta and Top Bahadur Magar (50).
Rai succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Ratnahari Hospital, while Magar breathed his last at Damauli Hospital, DSP Mohan Bahadur Khand told the RSS news agency.
Five injured individuals are receiving treatment at Damauli Hospital, while nine have been sent to Pokhara, and 19 are receiving treatment at Ratnahari Hospital. One has been discharged after treatment.
