T20 World Cup: Nepal to play practice matches in Sri Lanka, India

KATHMANDU: The Nepali men’s national cricket team will play practice matches in Sri Lanka and India to prepare for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

According to the Cricket Association Nepal (CAN), the national team will leave for Sri Lanka next week after completing a two-phase training camp in Nepal. Nepal is scheduled to play practice matches against the Sri Lanka A team.

After spending about a week in Sri Lanka, the national team will then fly to India, where they will play practice matches against a team of the Mumbai Cricket Association.

Nepal are playing all its group stage matches at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The team is currently in a training camp at Extratech Oval in Rupandehi.

The 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is being hosted jointly by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8

Nepal are in Group C with West Indies, Bangladesh, and Italy.

Rohit Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Nandan Yadav, Sandeep Lamichhane, Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Sandeep Jora, Arif Sheikh, Basir Ahmad, Gulshan Jha, Lalit Rajbanshi, Sher Malla and Lokesh Bam.
