KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has invited 24 cricketers to a closed training camp as it prepares to finalize a 15-member squad for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup.
CAN published the list through a statement on Sunday. India and Sri Lanka are jointly hosting the T20 World Cup from February 7 to March 8.
The association has retained the 16-member squad that played the T20I series against the West Indies in September and has invited eight additional players.
Players such as Sher Malla, Binod Bhandari, Abinash Bohara, and Bashir Ahmed, who impressed during the Nepal Premier League (NPL), have been called up for the closed camp. Likewise, Bhim Sarki, Ishan Pandey, Pratish GC, and Rupesh Kumar Singh have also made it to the camp list.
Nepal are placed alongside former champions England and West Indies, as well as Bangladesh and T20 World Cup debutants Italy, in Group C. Nepal will play all their group-stage matches at the Wankhede Stadium.
