POKHARA: A 36-year-old man arrested on the charge of murdering his own father in Putalibazar of Syangja has been sent to jail for pretrial detention.
Toran Karki of Bajpur in Putalibazar Municipality-7 of Syangja was presented before the Syangja District Court on Thursday. After the hearing, the district court ordered that he be kept in custody until the final verdict is passed.
District Police Office, Syangja, has claimed that they have sufficient evidence against Toran.
Tul Bahadur Karki (71) was found dead in his bedroom on February 15.
Police arrested his middle son, Toran, the next day and launched an investigation. Toran, a drug addict, killed his father without any specific dispute or grudge, police say.
