KATHMANDU: A 40-year-old man has been arrested in Sunsari for allegedly murdering his father with a sharp weapon on Wednesday.
According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, 60-year-old Shabib Ansari died after his son, Mohammad Riyaz, stabbed him in the chest and back during a land dispute.
“Shabib died while undergoing treatment,” said DSP Yograj Khatriwada.
Police have taken Riyaz into custody for further investigation.
