KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Gorkhas is taking on last season’s first runners-up Sudurpaschim Royals in the only match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the TU International Cricket Grounds on Wednesday.
Kathmandu, who defeated former champions Janakpur Royals by five wickets in their first match, will be looking to continue the momentum by defeating the far-western side, while Sudurpashchim will be hoping to begin the new season on a positive note by winning their first match.
Both sides boast a strong lineup of domestic and foreign talents. Captained by Karan KC, Kathmandu has foreign players like Heinrich Klaasen, Gerhard Erasmus, Ricardo Vasconcelos, Ben Charlesworth, Sunny Patel, and Milind Kumar in their ranks, while Sudurpashchim, led by Dipendra Singh Aairee, boasts foreign recruits like Josh Brown, Scott Kuggeleijn, Chris Lynn, and Harmit Singh.
