Sudip Neupane of Butwal among deceased of Pahalgam terror attack

LUMBINI: Sudip Neupane from Butwal was among the 27 who died in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir state of India on Tuesday afternoon.

Dadhiram Neupane, the chairperson of Ward-14 of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, confirmed that the deceased, Sudip Neupane, was his nephew. “Sudip is my elder brother’s son. We have received this tragic news,” Neupane told Himal Press over the phone. “I am currently in Kathmandu. Preparations are underway to bring the body back to Nepal.”

According to Dadhiram, Sudip was a permanent resident of Belbhariya in Butwal-14. He also owned a house in Kalikanagar, Butwal-11.

Additionally, one Nepali national is among those injured in the terrorist attack. According to Indian media reports, Renu Pandey from Nepal is among the injured.
