KATHMANDU: Subi Kaphle, a student of Kathmandu College of Management (KCM), has been nominated for the Program of the Year Award from the Central and South Asia Region at the esteemed Hult Prize OnCampus Awards.
“Subi’s exceptional dedication and impactful contributions as a campus director have propelled her to stand among the five nominees chosen to represent her region and be recognized among the 35 nominees from around the world,” reads a statement issued by KCM.
Subi’s journey has been marked by her relentless commitment, having organized over 35 events and collaborative activities with various clubs and organizations. Notably, her passion for environmental conservation was a driving force behind her collaboration with World Wildlife Fund Nepal (WWF), leading to the organization of one of Nepal’s most significant sustainability fairs. This event left an indelible impact on over 5,000 attendees. Her visionary leadership also facilitated the expansion of the Hult Prize’s reach to more universities and fostered crucial government partnerships in Nepal for upcoming cohorts. Subi’s efforts additionally facilitated interactive sessions with over 20 experts, enhancing the overall experience for participants.
According to the statement, Subi’s initiatives have demonstrated substantial success, boasting 18 participating startups, a dedicated team of 12 organizing committee members, support from 21 experts, and endorsement from 22 partners and sponsors. “Subi’s nomination stands as a proud moment for Nepal and KCM as she prepares to represent her college and country at the grand stage of the Hult Prize 2023 Global Finals & OnCampus Awards, set to take place in Paris, France on September 22, 2023,” it added.
