KATHMANDU: Popular sports channel Star Sports has been named the broadcast partner of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Writing a post on its official Facebook page, NPL said it was thrilled to announce Star Sports as the official broadcast partner of Nepal Premier League. “The biggest cricketing action is about to unfold right in front of you! We are thrilled to announce Star Sports as the Official Broadcast Partner of the Nepal Premier League,” NPL wrote in its Facebook page.
NPL features eight franchise-based teams – Biratnagar Kings, Janakpur Bolts, Kathmandu Gurkhas, Pokhara Avengers, Chitwan Rhinos, Lumbini Lions, Karnali Yaks and Sudurpashchim Royals. These teams have already signed popular cricketers like Shikhar Dhawan (India), Ravi Bopara (UK), Chadwick Walton (West Indies), Martin Guptill (New Zealand), James Neesham (New Zealand) and Raymon Heifer (West Indies), among others.
NPL will be played between November 30 and December 21 in Kathmandu.
