KATHMANDU: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has assumed office at the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
After assuming office, Ghimire said that the secretariat would run a special program on parliamentary proceedings for newly-elected lawmakers
CPN-UML’s Ghimire was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives on Thursday. He was the common candidate of the ruling coalition.
Earlier, he was administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Bidya Devi Bhandari amid an event held at the Office of the President in Shital Niwas.
