KATHMANDU: The President of Sri Lanka, and the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan have congratulated KP Sharma Oli on assuming the office of the Prime Minister.
Writing a post on social media platform X (previously Twitter), the Maldives president Dr. Mohamed Muizzu congratulated Oli on being appointed as the Prime Minister of Nepal. “Maldives and Nepal enjoy close people-to-people connections, and I look forward to working with you to enhance bilateral cooperation between our two countries,” Dr. Muizzu added.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also congratulated Oli. “Looking forward to working closely to further strengthen the deep bonds of friendship between our two countries and to further expand our mutually beneficial cooperation for the progress and prosperity of our peoples,” Modi wrote in a post on X.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Oli on taking oath as the Prime Minister of Nepal for the fourth time. “I wish him every success and look forward to working with him to further strengthen bilateral ties and promote regional cooperation between our two nations,” he wrote in a message posted on X.
