KATHMANDU: The Socialist Front has announced plans to introduce a nationwide program aimed at addressing the growing public frustration.
In a meeting held at the central office of the CPN (Unified Socialist) in Aloknagar, Kathmandu, on Tuesday, the Front concluded that concrete efforts are needed to steer the country toward a socialist path in light of the current situation.
Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma, the spokesperson for the Front, said after the meeting that leaders arrived at a conclusion that the Front should set a clear socialist direction. “Since the country is heading toward an unpleasant and disheartening state, we have decided to engage in discussions and dialogue with other parties and groups to lead the country in that path,” Bishwakarma added.
The meeting also decided to organise different programs across the country in mid-September.
CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Senior Vice Chairperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha; CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal, General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal and leader Bamdev Gautam; and Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand, among others, were present in the meeting.
