KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed members of the National Planning Commission (NPC) were sworn in on Thursday.
Vice Chairperson Dr Gunakar Bhatta administered the oath of office and secrecy to six members amid a ceremony at the NPC in Kathmandu.
Earlier, the government appointed Arjun Jang Thapa, Dr Sudan Jha, Reshu Aryal, Devendra Gauchan, Pukar Malla, and Dr Sanjaya Acharya as members.
Chaired by the Prime Minister, the NPC is the specialized and apex advisory body of the government for formulating a national vision, development policy, periodic plans, and sectoral policies for the overall development of the nation.
