Six ministers inducted into Madhesh cabinet

JANAKPURDHAM: Madhesh Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav has expanded his cabinet.

Yadav inducted six ministers into his cabinet. He has appointed two ministers each from Nepali Congress (NC) and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal, and one each from CPN (Maoist Center) and Janamat Party.

With this, Chief Minister Yadav’s cabinet has expanded to 12 members.

Rajkumar Gupta and Manish Suman from Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal have been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and the Ministry of Labor and Transport, respectively. Similarly, Shankar Prasad Chaudhary and Shyam Prasad Patal from the NC have been assigned the Ministry of Forests and Environment and the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, respectively.

Likewise, Fakira Mahato of the CPN (Maoist Centre) has been assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs, Communications and Law, while Basant Kumar Kushwaha of the Janamat Party has been given responsibility for the Ministry of Sports and Social Welfare.

Province Chief Dr Surendra Labh administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers amid a ceremony on Wednesday afternoon.
