
KATHMANDU: Six former chiefs of the Indian Army have arrived in Nepal at the invitation of the Nepal Army.
The former Indian army chiefs are in Nepal to participate in the Mahashivaratri and the 262nd anniversary of the establishment of the Nepal Army.
According to Nepal Army headquarters, former Indian Army chiefs Joginder Jaswant Singh, Deepak Kapoor, Dr Vijay Kumar Singh, Dalbir Singh Suhag, Dr Manoj Mukund Naravane and Manoj Pande will also visit various historical, religious and tourist sites during their stay in Nepal.
Nepal and India have a tradition of conferring army chiefs of each other’s country with the honorary rank of General for the past many decades.
