
KATHMANDU: Newly appointed non-resident ambassadors to Nepal from six different countries presented their letters of credence to President Ram Chandra Paudel on Thursday.
According to a press statement issued by the Office of the President, the ambassadors presented their letters of credence during separate ceremonies held at the Office of the President.
Alassane Conte from the Republic of Guinea, Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda from the Republic of Uganda, Haris Hrle from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Omar Lisandro Castaneda Solares from the Republic of Guatemala, Antonio Enrico Bartoli from Italy and Aliki Koutsomitopoulou from Greece presented their credentials on Thursday. All these ambassadors are based in India.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba and other high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President were present on the occasion.
The ambassadors were escorted to the Office of the President from Hotel Dusit Princess in horse-drawn carriages as part of the traditional protocol.
