KATHMANDU: Dhanusha District Court has remanded Kantipur Media Group Chairperson Kailash Sirohiya to three more days in police custody.
Police presented Sirohiya before the district court on Monday seeking permission to keep him in custody for five more days. However, a single bench of District Judge Yaduraj Sharma permitted the police to keep Sirohiya in custody for three days only.
Sirohiya has already spent six days in police custody. Police brought Sirohiya to the district court from Kavya Hospital where he is receiving treatment. He was admitted to the hospital on Friday.
District Police Office, Dhanusha, is investigating a case of tempering of citizenship certificate against Sirhoiya.
