KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, is leaving for Tehran on Saturday.

Issuing a press statement, the finance ministry said Shrestha will lead the Nepali delegation to the 19th ministerial meeting of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) in Tehran on Monday.

Shrestha is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with foreign ministers of ACD member countries on the sidelines of the event.

Before the ministerial meeting convenes, Joint Secretary Gyan Bahadur Magar, who heads the Regional Organizations Division at the ministry, will participate in the ACD Senior Officials’ Meeting on Sunday.

The ACD is a continent-wide forum, the first of its kind in Asia, that aims to constitute the missing link in Asia by incorporating every Asian country and building an Asian Community without duplicating other organizations or creating a bloc against others.
