Shambhu Raj Regmi chosen as best civil servant of Gandaki

POKHARA: Gandaki Province Government has decided to present the Civil Service Excellence Award to Shambhu Raj Regmi.

Regmi has been serving as the Secretary (Law) at the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers (OCMCM). He joined civil service as a non-gazetted second-class officer 24 years ago. He has been working with the Gandaki Province Government for the past two years. The award carries a purse of Rs 100,000 and a certificate of appreciation.

Likewise, Bishnu Hari Adhikari of Divisional Irrigation Development Office, Parbat; Pradeep Chandra Subedi of OCMCM, and Samina Pun of Transport Management Office, Kaski, have been awarded the best civil service award. The award carries a purse of Rs 75,000 each and certificates of appreciation.

Similarly, six civil servants have been selected for the Gandaki Province Civil Service Award. Shiva Lamsal of OCMCM, Tejendra Prasad Dhakal of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Dr. Shankar Gautam of District Ayurveda Health Center-Manang, Suresh Kumar Shrestha of Livestock and Fisheries Development Directorate-Kaski, Prativa Shrestha of District Hospital-Gorkha, and Arjun Prasad Kafle of Tourism and Industry Office have been selected for the award. Each of them will receive Rs 50,000 and certificates of appreciation.

The Pokhara-based Agricultural Enterprises Training Support Center has been selected as the best office in the province. Likewise, the Division Forest Office (Myagdi), Agriculture Knowledge Center (Manang), Agriculture Knowledge Center (Tanahun), Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Service Expert Center (Lamjung), Madhyabindu District Hospital (Nawalparasi East), Horticulture Development Resource Center (Kaski), Water Resources and Irrigation Development Division Office (Parbat), Agriculture Knowledge Center (Mustang), Social Development Office (Gorkha), District Ayurveda Health Center (Syangja), and District Health Office (Baglung) have been selected as the best offices of each district of the province.

Moreover, Warrant Officer (First Class) Sanjiv Babu Shrestha, Lance Corporal Jeevan Malla, and Private Umesh Baniya of Nepal Army; Senior SP Arun Poudel, SP Mohan Kumar Thapa, and DSP Bhoj Raj Pandeya of Nepal Police; and DSP Rabin Adhikari, Head Constable Rabindra Thapa, and Constable of Armed Police Force have been selected for the Law & Order and Disaster Rescue Motivational Award.

The awards will be given away during the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, according to the OCMCM.
