Shahi elected NC’s parliamentary party leader in Karnali

SURKHET: Incumbent Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has been unanimously elected as the parliamentary party leader of Nepali Congress in Karnali Province.

The Karnali Province committee of NC selected Shahi unopposed after another aspirant Rajiv Bikram Shahi withdrew from the race.

Shahi’s name was proposed by Shah, while Janaki Singh is the seconder.

Now, Shahi will become the Chief Minister for the second term if NC gets the opportunity to lead the province government.
