KATHMANDU: A task force formed to prepare a discussion paper for constitutional amendment his holding its first meeting on Wednesday.
The task force led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s Chief Political Adviser, Asim Shah, is scheduled to meet at 3 pm at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
The task force includes Mohan Acharya representing the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP); Constituent Assembly member Bhishmanath Adhikari from the CPN-UML; Nepali Communist Party (NCP) leader and Constituent Assembly member Dev Prasad Gurung; parliamentary party leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Gyan Bahadur Shahi; and General Secretary of the Rastriya Janamorcha Manoj Bhatta.
Similarly, the task force also includes Pushkar Sapkota, Law Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, and Indira Dahal, Secretary of the Nepal Law Commission. Leeladhar Subedi, Chief of the Law and Decision Implementation Division at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, is the member-secretary of the task force.
The Nepali Congress, Shram Sanskriti Party, and Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal are expected to select their representatives today.
